Mathew purchased the company in 2012 with his father Wayne who owns a dairy farm.
Mathew, who runs Coastal Contracting on a day to day basis, has a background contracting in both New Zealand and the UK.
Starting off with one tractor and one machine operating just a few months a year he has now grown the company to a full time year round contracting business with one full time staff member and seasonal workers.
Mathew says his background growing up on a farm means he understands what farmers need.
